Nathanael Columbus
Nathanael
began his career as Operations Manager in retail merchandising for
major events in Australia’s , Victoria F1 and Special Events
Store , located in Melbourne ‘s Elizabeth Street,. Following
the Grand Prix and event business Nathanael opened The Ferrari Café
and Merchandise Shop in Richmond which attracted celebrities like
Ron Walker, Neil Crompton, Sam Newman and a number of well known
V8 Super car drivers. Both of these ventures allowed Nathanael to
build a large network enabling him to introduce another facet of
his business. This very successful venture entailed dealing with
corporate and promotional merchandise for local marketing companies,
automotive workshops, finance companies and a motor racing team.
Shortly after this, Nathanael discovered he
could sell and market any product, but noticed that he got a lot
of satisfaction from helping people. He also confidently believed
that he could fulfil his life long sales dream through the Real
Estate Industry. Studying the controversial Jenman system gave him
great insight into the Real Estate Industry. While completing his
real estate studies, Nathanael answered an advertisement in the
paper for telemarketing salespeople to market products to the Real
Estate Industry. Within 24 hours of applying for this position he
was working for the Dataspec Corporation as a telemarketer promoting
one of Dataspec’s well known products the Dataspec List Manager,
a reverse directory used for marketing and promotion. In his first
month with Dataspec Nathanael broke the company record, achieving
the highest sales of Dataspec List Manager in one month. After 12
months at Dataspec Nathanael had the opportunity to take over the
product nationally and became the sole marketer of the renamed List
Manager. After selling this product for some time he realised that
Real Estate Agents required additional support.
Nathanael then created Columbus Solutions in November
2002 promoting the sale of List Manager program. The next step was
introducing installation and on-site training for agents enabling
then to utilise List Manager to it’s maximum to achieve outstanding
results when prospecting for new business.
In 2004,a year after setting up Columbus Solutions,
Nathanael was approached by Notebooks R Us and a relationship was
formed to promote their business and products jointly to his clients.
Since then Nathanael has formed alliances with several other companies
which now work with Columbus Solutions as recommended businesses.
More recently Nathanael has improved List Manager
further and headed up telemarketing campaigns within Real Estate
offices and investments companies. Using his own product Nathanael
has been able to achieve consistent new business leads. His expertise
in real estate marketing has now become highly sought after and
he is consistently approached to telemarket for many companies.
Nathanael now feels he is setting a benchmark
within companies for their staff to be able to reach the outstanding
results and increase their client base.
Yianni
Columbus
Yianni’s achievements began in 1997 when
he studied architectural drafting in Adelaide. He has always had
a flair for style, colour and design and frequently produced personal
artworks that surprised and excited the people that were the recipients
of his talented productions.
In 1998 Yianni was employed by his brother Nathanael in Melbourne
to work for the Victorian F1 & Special Events store, which Nathanael
had set up and operated since 1996. Also during this period it was
evident that Yianni had a true passion that he pursued, which was
architectural model making. Whilst Yianni worked for the F1 Shop
he used any spare moment to sketch homes and build models of buildings
for his portfolio to land steady work as an architectural model
maker.
In 2000 Yianni became involved in the Ferrari café
as part owner /operator with Nathanael and during this period Yianni
built up a network which included architects to whom he sub- contracted
himself out for various projects. He also mixed with the celebrity
world of Racing Car Drivers and fast cars, noting the importance
that merchandising played in this field.
Unfortunately the architectural demand at this time
was conflicting with his café business so he scaled down
the architectural side of his work to concentrate on the café
business. In 2002, after Ferrari decided to reclaim their café,
Yianni and Nathanael left the café business and went their
separate ways.
Yianni decided to go back to the Formula 1 and Event
business as he knew it well and has worked there ever since. This
knowledge of Event Merchandising has stood him in great stead and
he is now in the midst of building the merchandising division of
Columbus Solutions at a rapid rate.
Having the artistic, drafting and design background
combined with the knowledge of quality customer service delivery,
in event merchandising, gives Yianni a superior edge when dealing
with niche merchandising markets and clients who want customised
product.
